Surabhi Rawat, founder of TrueNorth Consulting, is a passionate educator and internationally certified career counsellor with over a decade of experience in the education sector across India and the UAE. She holds a Certified Career Analyst (CCA) and Certified Counsellor for Career in International Studies (CCCIS) credential from Edumilestones, empowering her to offer scientific, psychometric-based guidance and support for international education pathways. She also holds dual certifications in career counselling from Univariety (India) and the prestigious UCLA Extension (USA), as well as a specialization in Profile Building and Overseas Admissions from Univariety , equipping her to guide students through every stage of academic and career planning — from subject selection to international university admissions.

With a strong academic foundation that includes a Master’s degree in Science and a Bachelor’s in Education, Surabhi’s professional journey has spanned teaching, curriculum development, educational research, and academic counselling. Her early roles in New Delhi, including as a researcher and program coordinator at Navdanya, and later as an educator at Deens Academy in Bangalore, introduced her to a range of teaching methodologies and student needs. Her most formative experience came at Fountainhead School, an IB World School in Surat, where she led the Learning Enrichment Program (LEAP) — an innovative initiative focused on enhancing critical thinking, creativity, and logical reasoning in students. There, she also conducted professional development workshops for teachers using global pedagogical tools such as Harvard Project Zero, Edward de Bono’s CoRT thinking tools, and Design for Change.

Her work in educational innovation earned her the Global Teacher Accreditation by the British Council in collaboration with University College London (UCL), in recognition of her action research in implementing thinking routines in classrooms. She has continued her learning through international courses such as Student Thinking at the Core (Vanderbilt University), Critical Thinking in Global Challenges (University of Edinburgh), and Creative Problem Solving (University of Minnesota), reflecting her belief in lifelong learning and professional growth.
